This November 12th and 13th at the Fargo Holiday Inn, the Fargo All Martial Arts Seminar is hosting its Third annual, All Martial Arts Seminar. This annual non-profit charity event is a way for our community of Martial Artists to come together to learn from each other and share in the common underlying philosophies of peace, harmony, growth and community.
One of the goals of this annual event is to be a place where the community can come and observe all of the different styles of local Martial Arts through demonstrations that are put on during a two day seminar. Young and old can come to enjoy and learn from observing (and participating if they like), in the many different kinds of Martial Arts that are being showcased. There will be demonstrations/presentations scheduled through out the both days, and a dinner/DJ and silent auction Saturday evening.
Another pivotal mission of the seminar is to join together in an effort to raise money for a cause that has affected many of our lives. Cancer is an in-discriminate disease that has touched so many of our friends and families. Raising money to help support the families that are facing all the hardships that come with cancer is important to the Martial Arts family. It is a conviction that is deeply rooted in the history and philosophy of martial arts. The Martial Arts strive to promote healing, harmony, courage and strength in spirit.
The person who has been the catalyst for undertaking this event is a man who has dedicated his life to this passion of helping others through Martial Arts. Master Paul Dyer, has a background of over 35 years in the Martial Arts. He has been teaching/practicing in this community for over 15 years. Master Dyer owns Dakota Dragon Defense, where he offers classes/training in many forms of Martial arts as well as one-on-one personal training and wellness guidance to help people achieve their health/fitness goals.
Another issue that is a calling for Master Dyer is his strong desire to empower women to have the tools needed to live fearlessly and freely. He does this through the many self defense clinics that he has provided to the community. Once a month he offers a free women’s self defense class at his Dakota Dragon Defense studio. He has also put on self defense clinics at our both of our local universities in an effort to prepare students to be safe on campus. Master Dyer has also put on many clinics for our youth to introduce them to Martial Arts and being active.
Master Dyer would like to bring the Fargo All Martial Arts Seminar to the attention of the community, so they can come and be a part of this event organized to be a place where families or individuals can come and be a part of the Martial Arts family in an effort to have fun and support a good cause.
