The Fargo-Moorhead Martial Arts family came together on September 18 & 19, 2010 to host the second annual, All Martial Arts Seminar. The Seminar is a way for our community of Martial Artists to come together to learn from each other and share in the common underlying philosophies of peace, harmony, growth and community. One of the goals of the seminar was to be a place where the community could come and observe all of the different styles of local Martial Arts through demonstrations that were put on during the two day seminar.
Another pivotal mission of the seminar was to join together in an effort to raise money for a cause that has affected many of our lives. Cancer is an in-descriminate disease that has touched so many of our friends and families. Raising money to help support the families that are facing all the hardships that come with cancer is important to the Martial Arts family. It is a conviction that is deeply rooted in the history and philosophy of martial arts. The Martial Arts strive to promote healing, harmony, courage and strength in spirit.
Supporting the mission to help fight cancer will be the focus of continued All Martial Arts Seminars in the years to come. Our goal each year is to grow and reach more of our community to bring an increased awareness to the cause. We are already excited about next year’s event which will be held at the Holiday Inn on October 8 & 9, 2011.
The All Martial Arts Seminar is proud to present the Roger Maris Cancer Foundation with a check for $407.00.
